Loved the angsty chapter. The statue is amazing. I've seen it before. I have been a grieving Grandmother for 18 years. That hole is always there. I did not just lose my grandson, I also lost my son who has never been the same. It is a tragedy of epic proportion to lose a child.

I can't truly comprehend what it must feel like.
DeleteI pray you never have to.
DeleteThat is an amazing sculpture. I felt a very visceral reaction just looking at it and knowing what it represents. Where is it?
ReplyDeleteIt's at Lake Geneva in Switzerland. It's called 'Grieving Parent Loss of Child'. I had a very strong reaction to it, too.
DeleteI was ugly crying again after reading this chapter. The statue is especially poignant.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I think this is one of the hardest chapters.
